Karen Davis was not only a good friend of mine, but also a very kind and caring person with a very upbeat, positive outlook on life. I knew her from school, as well as Trinity Presbyterian Church where she was part of our college bible study group.
She wore a wedding dress that I designed for one of my PCC Fashion Design classes, on the day she married her husband, Ed Miller. Karen and Ed were blessed with many happy years together and two wonderful sons they raised to adulthood. I know that Karen would have loved being a grandmother, which was something she was looking forward to prior to her passing. I believe that God took Karen home shortly before that 1st grandchild was born?
Even when we did not get together, we still kept in touch over the years with Christmas cards, pictures and our family "newsletter" updates. So, I was tremendously shocked and saddened when I heard that Karen had lost her long, valiant battle with breast cancer.
She is surely missed today by all those who had the good fortune to know her.
