School Story:

When we graduated in the Rose Bowl, I was struck by the following when passing fellow students: not only did I not know so many of them, but there were so many I had never even seen before! It really confirmed just how huge, over 1000, our graduating class was. I always thought there must have been so many great people I never had the chance to meet.

My first short story, "Always in my heart," a gift to my 96 year old mother. What if her fiance Bandi had, in fact, survived, rather than "disappeared" with his labor battalion during the Holocaust?
