Judy Cox (Gottfeld)

Gary, I agree! So glad to hear Patty, Jody, Martha, Charles and you will be there. Hey, how did you post those elementary school pictures? I don't see a button for that. I was going through an old box and found pictures of Girl Scout Camp. Maybe just on my profile page?

I would love to be able to come to the reunion and see everyone. But sadly, that isn't possible right now. It would be be fun to see all my high school friends and especially the group from Noyes. But hello to everyone, Judith take notes for me and maybe I will be lucky enough t hear from all of you. Have fun.

The 50th reunion begins 2 weeks from today. It is now to late to mail a registration form to me in Las Vegas. You will need to pay at the door. The door price will be $140. per person. If you are planning on coming and have not register yet PLEASE let us know so we can have a name badge for you. PLEASE COME !! This is the big one and there may not be another.

If you would like to join us on Thursday June 21st at the North Woods Inn I need to hear from you !! We have a back area reserved for the P.H.S. reunion get together. It is limited seating and will be reserved for those that make reservations with me. If no reservations you can still come but it is unlikely that you will be able to sit with the group. Last day to reserve a seat will be Monday June 18th. PLEASE email me at claywerts@yahoo.com to make the reservation. Please do not post your response on this website. Calling the restaurant will not get you seated with our group. Look forward to seeing all of you for some extra fun. Everyone is welcome. You will be expected to pay for your own food & drink. THIS EVENT IS NOT PART OF THE REUNION.

Frederic (Owen) Billingsley

Greetings, 1968 Bulldogs! I hope the reunion is a wonderful time for all y'all who can attend, but family commitments will keep me from being there. First, I believe we are greatly blessed just be alive for a 50th graduation anniversary. Second, it seems to me that the Burnet (TX) Bulldog graduates of 2018, whom I teach, are far more mature and self-aware than I was 50 years ago. Third, I sincerely hope that other 1968 PHS grads have come to personal saving faith in Jesus Christ the Lord since 1968 and are enjoying the blessings of God's grace, including forgiven sin and the secure hope of eternal life!

Fred Billingsley, Burnet, Texas

In response to Frederick Billingsley, yes indeed, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I'm so grateful for eternal life that He gives, and also a blessed life on this earth.  We were blessed to attend PHS so long ago. Thanks for sharing.

Praise the Lord that there are many of us grads who have a wonderful relationship with God through the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ.. Let's look to find each other at the 50th reunion. This is the BEST NEWS EVER!

Rudy Zepeda

This is in response to Frederic (Owen) Billingsley's message and string responses. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in 1975 when I responded to an alter call at my girl friend and future wife's Pentacostal church. Through life's trials and tribulations, God has kept me and blessed me with blessings of peace, prosperity, health and healings, protection and refuge but most of all, the hope of eternal life with God and my spiritual family. Praise the Lord!

So wonderful, Rudy. Are you and your wife coming to the reunion?

Kenneth (Ken) Marschall

I can’t make the reunion, but I hope that many of you will shoot pics and phone video and post them somewhere where those of us who won’t be there can experience a taste of the event.  I expect many of the still pics will be in the Memory Book, but I hope the videos can be uploaded to a dedicated YouTube page or something.

I don’t recall what has been said about the Memory Book, but have you considered making it a DVD so that videos can be included?  I especially hope someone will “film” the time capsule being unearthed and opened, the drill team in action again (!), and it would be great to hear how "The Grateful Dads” handle the vintage tunes.

Christopher Bragdon

Saw wa dee crub, greetings from the "land of smiles" Thailand!  I wish I could attend the reunion but as fate has it, I am not.  As Ken posted, I hope some keepsakes are posted and/or made available for those unable to make it to the reunion events.

Modie (Martin) Katz

We are going to all be taking a lot of pictures and some videos of the different events.  If you want to buy a memory book, just let us know and send in $25. to the address Clay has posted for the registration and we will send it out.  Make sure you do this right a way since we need to know by next week how many and to whom and where to send.

Sorry to all those that can not make this special Reunion.  It will be a blast and should be memorable.  Please check back on this site for updates, photos, videos and more as we get them.

Hope to see a lot of you next week.

Ohhhhh wowwww -- thanks for posting the film from '67!!  What a blast and trip down Memory Lane.  Love it!

Re: the band, our excellent, distinctive drum cadence was given some sort of award and selected to be on a record.  If I recall, it was also licensed by one of the TV networks to be their signature theme "music" while covering the '68 presidential election.  I want to say CBS?  Chris Bragdon, former PHS drummer now living in Thailand, would remember better than I.  I think he said that his record is probably stored in Oregon with another family member.  Does anyone else remember that record?  Would be great to edit into this video.

So fun to see Rollie Younger at the end!  What a card, and so artistically talented.  He was a great influence for me.  As of maybe six years ago he was well, living in Cambria, CA, and doing unique pottery/ceramic work (see posts on my profile page... I think).  I was in touch with him in 2000 and for a few years after, but when I tried contacting him again more recently, no response.  Hope he's doing okay.

Barbara Brandstetter (Ower)

Love, love, LOVE the video! Thank you so much to everyone involved in putting it together, along with the background music, and then finally posting it on YouTube. I've shared it with my kids and grandkids and warned them of a little bit of culture shock as they view it. As for me, I had to look at it 4 times before I finally found myself in the drill team line in the back toward the right side end of the line. Thanks again to everyone involved in putting this video together. It is fabulous, as is our Class of 1968!

Clay or Modie - When you speak of tickets "at the door", where is "the door"? Also, where and when will the Time Capsule be unearthed? I'm one of those people with short term memory loss. :-)

Kenneth (Ken) Marschall

I want to get my order in for a Memory Book, and Modie, you say it's $25.  The Registration Form says $20.  Has the price escalated?  Or maybe it's more for non-attendees?  Thanks.
