Thank you Modie. This is a private web site and we will not allow politics on this site. You will be deleted if you violate this policy. You are welcome to tell us about your life minus the politics. Take that discussion somewhere else, but not here. Share upbeat, positive, friendly, respectful and loving aspects of your life. Let's hear about what makes you and your family happy.  Use this site to reconnect with old friends and continue the friendships you made with grads at the reunion. We can turn on the radio or T.V. to hear all of the negative things in life. Be happy, the best is yet to come.

Thanks Clay and Modie, for volunteering to do our next reunion.  You did such a wonderful job!  Thanks for keeping things positive too.

Miles Wagner (Wagner)

Thanks to all those who worked so hard on the 50th Reunion. It was wonderful seeing so many classmates and reminiscing over high school days, both good and not so good. However, I could not find anyone who looked like his or her yearbook photo!

Listening to the accomplishments of the Class of ’68 shows, we are a very talented group!

See you in 2023!

I do believe the Class of ’68, along with the other classes who had time capsules removed and destroyed by the School District, is at least owed a formal letter of apology to each graduate. It shows a complete lack of respect for the students.

Fifty years later and people are still trying to tell us what, where and when we can say something. So sad.

Kenneth (Ken) Marschall

Our time capsule was "removed and destroyed" by the school district?  I wasn't able to attend the reunion last weekend and have been eagerly looking forward to hearing about its opening and seeing photos or video.  I wonder what the necessity -- or rationale -- was to destroy it.

There is probably a storeroom full of things that nobody knows about in some warehouse that the time capsule and the lost ark are stored. We have some Distric personnel still looking for our time capsule. The mystery continues...

Camay White (Arad-Tullis)

Again - thank you to the entire crew for a wonderful reunion and your continued efforts to keep our class connected.

Re: Miles Wagner's comment that no one looked like their high school yearbook picture..

I beg to differ -I thought Mark Tracy, Don Wiese, Tom Barnes and Bill Armstrong were easily recognizable.  There were lots of gals who "hadn't aged a bit":  Barbara Brandstetter, Rita Vitale, Cheryl Osti, Ann Hassell, Tracy Dunning to name a few.  To me, they looked just like their picture.  I think if we had brought 1968 wigs of the most popular hairstyles we wouldn't have even needed those name tags!!! LOL

Am curious what others think???

I love reading all the posts on our website! Canary, you looked the same too. So great to see you. I had such an amazingly fun weekend with you all!

Oh, my predictive text is horrible! Camay, not canary!

I wasn't at the reunion, but from the photos here I think several of the attendees are quite recognizable, which fascinates and amazes me, for some odd reason.  One, in particular, stands out to me as astonishingly unchanged, and that's Melisse Knoll.  All I've seen is a couple of pics from the 45th reunion, but I believe she was in the "registered" list for the 50th (now apparently off the menu at left).  Five years ago her hair seemed the same as in high school, which of course helped a lot... but when I saw her in those photos my jaw fell open.

She is still a "looker" Ken. She is as beautiful on the inside as outside too. We all had such a great time 'cause everyone was just happy to be together-no more separate groups. They have all grown into wonderful people.

Hi All

Guess that you are all aware of the fire up here in Yolo County.  70,000 acres and 5% contained.  My horses are evacuated.  We are sleeping at friend's house overnight but the CHP who is stationed at the beginning of the road to our house is still letting us in, so we are hanging out at home during the day.  This is the 5th fire in as many years.  Actually, we have lived here for 32 years and only the last 5 years have there been fires.  The changes we have been experiencing in the kinds of birds living here, the winter fog that in November and December used to make driving home difficult that hasn't occurred in the last 10 years, the rainfall that - except for last year when we had rain all the time - hasn't arrived until March.  Pretty stunning.

Praying for you and family. It is scary. We have evacuated twice with narrow escapes, so I understand your concerns. Where is Yolo Valley located?

Modie (Martin) Katz

Glad you got our animals out of there.  Hope all will be well for the rest of your stuff since that is replaceable. Stay safe.

Judy Cox (Gottfeld)

Janice, I hope the fire  is contained soon. I have never experienced such a scare, and can't imagine what you are going through. Best to you and your family.

Thanks for the well wishes.  Of the fires we have had, this has been the worst.

Michael Duca (Duca)

Hello to all.

Very sorry to have missed the 50th -- the good news is, I'm not forced to retire from my dream job working with Major League Baseball (and ESPN in the "offseason"). My wife is Manager of Guest Services for the San Francisco Giants, and they were home for the weekend, so she was not able to attend, and it would have been a little hollow for me to have so much fun without being able to share it...

Looking forward to 55th.  I know she will be close enough to retirement by then that I might be able to convince her to take 3 days off, even if the team is home.  I was particularly looking forward to reconnecting with Judy Cox (who apparently lives here in the Bay Area if I'm reading correctly -- no guarantees there!) and Bill Armstrong. So, you guys have a responsibility to make it to 55! I will do the same.

Glad to see the reunion produced so many warm memories.  I only had two years at PHS, not the longevity of so many who were together from Elementary School through High School, but I still have many fond memories of my time there, and look forward to seeing old friends in the future.

PS - I have zero hair now.  Not sure if that's good or bad, but it's definitely how things are...

Hi all,

Thanks Sue Warrick and others for your concern.  I brought my horses back 2 days ago and we moved back home.  We are actually confident enough to leave for vacation today - just a bit delayed.  Fire crews did a great job setting backfires that helped a lot.  There is still a lot of smoke, but we are SO relieved for ourselves and our neighbors.

Janice, this message will be more coherent since I will re-read it.

Glad the worst is over for you and you feel comfortable going away.  We have cleared a defensable area around our home and outbuildings and have most of the property with irrigation from when we had our horses.  Spoke to our local Cal Fire people who told me that everything is soooo dry this year.

I’m sure you have good help for your horses.  We use a Nanny Cam for our dogs when we leave them.

Enjoy your vacation

As an FYI to all, I received the proofs from the photographer, with the three different poses. One I liked; one I didn't like and the other was okay. Since I wasn't thinking about ordering one, that got me wondering how the photo company chooses the photo for the memory book. I called, and was told if I didn't order, they use their best judgement and pick one. If I order, they use the photo I picked. So, if you care about it, that's the message.

;-))
