i knew rene well during my senior year in high school, as part of the cuban community in pasadena. after graduation i lost track of him. it was with sadness that i heard of his passing in 2006.  i remember him fondly as a fun loving guy who was always ready to help anyone in need. i wish i had stayed in touch.
