This is not a response, but a new message.

I see that tonight on CNN there will be a feature called "1968". It may be interesting for us 1968 grads!

CNN HD has 1968 series now through later evening on cable now. Right now is #1 with Vietnam War and election.

Judd, yes I've been watching it. Brings back a lot of memories of that turbulent time. What's interesting are all the details, many "behind the scenes," of the events, such as the lies around Vietnam and the personal challenges of LBJ, RF Kennedy and everything going on with MLKing, racial tensions, and college protests. What a time we grew up in! (And what a time we are growing "old" in. Yikes!)

Hello Fellow classmates, looking forward to all the reunion festivities and reconnecting with everyone.   Just curious, are there any classmates out there that kept in touch with Gary Booth after high school?

Rita, I checked on the website and found an entry from Modie Katz who wrote that Gary Booth passed away on January 20th, 2006 in West Covina, CA. Maybe you could contact Modie to learn more. Jim Havelin

Rita,

Sorry for not responding earlier, Yes I did get a notice that Gary passed away.  I didn’t know him that well but we always acknowledge each other when we crossed paths.  Gary was a good hearted individual that had a strong personality and was no one to mess with at school.  The last time I say him was at an early reunion many years ago.  If you have anything to add to his memory, I would be interested to read.

Modie

Meeting my best friend from PHS Joyce Hansen  at LAX, and we are coming together. It will be fun to see everyone and see PHS, Pasadena and Sierra Madre again.

Gary, I agree! So glad to hear Patty, Jody, Martha, Charles and you will be there. Hey, how did you post those elementary school pictures? I don't see a button for that. I was going through an old box and found pictures of Girl Scout Camp. Maybe just on my profile page?

Frederic (Owen) Billingsley

Greetings, 1968 Bulldogs! I hope the reunion is a wonderful time for all y'all who can attend, but family commitments will keep me from being there. First, I believe we are greatly blessed just be alive for a 50th graduation anniversary. Second, it seems to me that the Burnet (TX) Bulldog graduates of 2018, whom I teach, are far more mature and self-aware than I was 50 years ago. Third, I sincerely hope that other 1968 PHS grads have come to personal saving faith in Jesus Christ the Lord since 1968 and are enjoying the blessings of God's grace, including forgiven sin and the secure hope of eternal life!

Fred Billingsley, Burnet, Texas

In response to Frederick Billingsley, yes indeed, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I'm so grateful for eternal life that He gives, and also a blessed life on this earth.  We were blessed to attend PHS so long ago. Thanks for sharing.
